"A sanitary and bacteriological survey of Comox Harbour and the contiguous tidal foreshore from Goose Spit to Kye Bay, was conducted from April 17 to May 10, 1974, by personnel of the Environmental Protection Service, Pacific Region. The survey was conducted concurrent with a study of Baynes Sound (E.P.S. Surveillance Reports EPS 5-PR-74-9 and EPS 5-PR-74-10). The purpose of the survey was to re-evaluate the quality of the shellfish growing waters in Comox Harbour, which is presently under Schedule J closure (B.C. Fishery Regulations)"--Abstract.
