"A sanitary survey of the foreshore waters encompassing Lasqueti Island was conducted during the period February 26 to March 13, 1974, by personnel of the Environmental Protection Service, Pacific Region. The purpose of the survey was to evaluate the bacteriological quality of the shellfish growing waters, to identify possible sources of bacterial contamination and to classify the area surveyed with respect to shellfish growing water standards"--Abstract.
