Homewater removals of 4,030 1-SW and 5,532 M-SW fish led to an estimated 1983 spawning escapement only 35 percent of the target number of M-SW spawners. The forecast of 1984 homewater returns is 15,683 1-SW fish (8,050 more than the target escapement) and 10,410 M-SW salmon (10 fish more than the target escapement and hatchery broodstock requirements).
