"The following paper presents an inventory of the sources and uses of mercury and its compounds in Canada. The movement of mercury from the point of extraction to the consumer of the pure metal and to the consumer of its compounds is examined with an explanation of the reasons why mercury is used in each case. In many instances an attempt is made to estimate the quantities of mercury used and to explain how it is used in the production process"--Abstract.
