"Sediment management in harbours and ports worldwide can be problematic due to the cost of sediment remediation and or the cost of upland disposal. In the Pacific and Yukon Region, dredged sediment management options are presently limited to ocean (open water) disposal and upland placement (beneficial reuse and/or landfill).
