Acoustic measurement of bed-load : field experiments / by C.K. Jonys.: En36-522/4-1975E-PDF

"Underwater sound samples were recorded in two gravel bearing rivers during periods with and without bed-load movement; and of artificially generated interparticle collision noise by different sizes of gravel pebbles. Flow velocities and bed-load transport were also measured. The purpose of the observations was to obtain field data for the study of the feasibility of the acoustic method for bed-load measurement"--Abstract.
