Ice fog clouds formed by vapour emissions in cold climates such as the Upper Mackenzie Valley / by G.T. Csanady, Principal Investigator and T.M.L. Wigley, Associate Investigator, The University of Waterloo...: R73-4/73-13E-PDF ; R72-11673E-PDF

"This report contains the conclusions of a design study to determine whether ice fog formation may interfere with human activities, such as the operation of construction camps in very cold weather, in the Mackenzie River valley. The physical processes involved in ice fog formation have been reviewed, detailed calculations have been made of the formation, buoyant rise, and diffusion of ice fog clouds generated by combustion sources, such as incinerators, automobiles, power plants in very cold weather, and the physics of condensation-resublimation in ice fog plumes has been considered in some depth"--Summary, page 1.
