5203 |a"Two-numerical methods are presented for determining the vertical structure of an arbitrarily stratified water column in the presence of internal gravity waves. The development is entirely self-contained and contains listings for Fortran IV computer routines which incorporate the theory presented. The two methods were developed for very different: specific applications although they produce identical answers. Method 1 allows the specification of the forcing frequency, but Method 2 assumes a very long period wave, in both cases an arbitrary stable density distribution is allowed to be specified at arbitrary depths"--Abstract.
