Estimates of immediate losses as a result of an increase in the legal carapace size limit for lobsters (Homarus americanus) in District 7B1 / by Donald R. Maynard, Gerard Y. Conan and Yvon Chiasson.: Fs70-8/86-74E-PDF
"The immediate weight losses resulting from a legal carapace size increase were calculated for ports in lobster district 7B1. Estimates of weight loss were extrapolated from the 1984 lobster sea sampling data. The average percentages of weight loss for 1.59 mm (1/16") and 3.17 mm (1/8") carapace increase is 8.31% and 19.63% respectively"--Abstract.
