"Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA), under the authority of the Pest Control Products Act, is proposing registration for the sale and use of Pelargonic Acid Technical, Beloukha Herbicide and Beloukha Agricultural Herbicide, containing the technical grade active ingredient pelargonic acid, to provide burndown, spot, and inter-row weed control in fruit, vegetable and field crops, desiccant and pre-harvest weed management in potato and cereal crops, sucker control in grapes and tree fruits, and control of unwanted weeds and mosses in non-crop areas. An evaluation of available scientific information found that, under the approved conditions of use, the health and environmental risks and the value of the pest control products are acceptable.
