"The 1986 1SW and MSW salmon sport catch surpassed 1985 values, and the MSW sport catch was the greatest recorded since 1947. Nineteen eighty-four and 1985 sport catch estimated from license stub returns were 1.5 to 3.5 times the DFO values reported for these years. Most MSW salmon were taken in the fall portion of the run, while most 1SW salmon were caught in the summer portion"--Abstract.
