5203 |a"A review is made of (a) the toxicity of the herbicide trifluralin to mammals and aquatic organisms, (b) the disappearance of trifluralin by volatilization and photodecomposition, and (c) its degradation in plants, soil, animals, and water. It is demonstrated that adsorption of trifluralin to particulate matter significantly reduces its toxicity to the otherwise quite sensitive rainbow trout, and it is concluded that trifluralin applied at recommended dosages does not present a hazard to aquatic organisms"--Abstract, page 2.
