Computed water circulation of Lake Ontario for observed winds from 20 April to 14 May, 1971 / by T. J. Simons and D. E. Jordan.: En36-521/9E-PDF

"In a previous paper (Simons, 1971a) a numerical model has been presented for the computation of the water movements in the Great Lakes under homogeneous conditions. The model was applied to Lake Ontario and various results of computations pertaining to the response of the lake to idealized wind stresses were discussed. The present report is devoted to computations of the response of Lake Ontario to actual wind forcing as derived from wind observations on the lake"--page 1.
