"This report collates andreviews previous and ongoing existing cumulative effects research and assessments conducted by DFO, focusing on marine ecosystems. Based on the range of existing work and needs within DFO programs, we outline a strategy for assessing cumulative effects that uses a typology of cumulative effect assessment frameworks consisting of four types: activity-based, stressor-based, species- or habitat-based, and area-based"--Abstract.
