"This document describes application for the delivery of a specialized health care service. This application is the administration of a non-standardized Telidon Articulation Screening Test. This program utilizes the graphic capabilities of Telidon to produce colourful, vivid and easily identifiable images for preschool and young school age children. The program can be employed to provide an evaluation of the speech sound developmental patterns of children in urban as well as rural, remote and northern areas of Canada. Many of these areas have previously been unserviced or underserviced in certain health care fields. This program has been designed to utilize local available manpower for test administration, and very limited training (available as part of the program) is required"--Executive summary, page i.
