"Among the specific objectives for this cycle of focus groups, the research explored awareness and perceptions of a wide range of issues, many of them in-depth, including recent Government of Canada stories in the news, and specific initiatives and announcements in relation to the environment, such as the national price on pollution, net-zero emissions goals, and nature-based solutions to climate change. In addition, the research explored local issues of concern, identifying specific challenges with respect to infrastructure and the economy in three Eastern or Central locations, as well as topics specifically related to concerns and activities in the West, including ‘Western alienation’ and the Trans Mountain Pipeline (TMX), among others, in the three Western locations"--Page 2.
