"The Canadian Freshwater Species at Risk Research Network (SAR NET), an academic research network developed with financial support from Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), held its year 2 symposium at the Canada Centre for Inland Waters in Burlington, Ontario on November 13-14, 2018. The objective of the symposium was to disseminate research results from projects initiated in 2017 as part of SAR NET and to facilitate an open forum involving DFO Science, academic researchers, and DFO management about how SAR NET research outcomes can be integrated into the DFO recovery planning process. The symposium was attended by 64 participants across four provinces (BC, AB, ON, QC) and one state (MI), and included 10 academic institutions, DFO Science and Management teams, Canadian Museum of Nature, and members of the Ontario and British Columbia provincial governments"--Abstract, page iv.
