Population viability analysis for the Quebec pilot study area in support of NAESI habitat-based biodiversity standards / prepared and published by Environment Canada.: En3-7/4-11E-PDF
"For the population viability analysis (PVA) component of the ‘Biodiversity Theme’ of the National Agri-Environmental Standards Initiative (NAESI) we conducted a review of completed population analyses for the eastern Ontario pilot study area. Based on the analyses we propose and discuss a standardized approach for population viability analysis and the development of habitat-based biodiversity performance standards under NAESI. We then apply this standardized PVA approach for the NAESI Québec pilot study area located in the St. Lawrence Lowlands eco-region using a sub-set of the surrogate species previously selected for the eastern Ontario study area"--Executive Summary, page xi.
