"The North American Bird Conservation Initiative (NABCI) in Canada is a partnership between Environment and Climate Change Canada, provincial and territorial wildlife directors, key environmental nongovernment organizations and national industry associations to actively coordinate the implementation of bird conservation throughout North America along with our American and Mexican NABCI partnerships. NABCI-Canada strives to ensure that populations and habitats of North America's birds are protected, restored and enhanced through coordinated efforts at international, national, regional and local levels, guided by sound science and effective management. As such, NABCI-Canada has elaborated priorities under four key roles: coordination, communication, track bird conservation and influence policy"--Plain language summary.
