"The Canadian Freshwater Species at Risk Research Network (SAR NET), an academic research network developed with financial support from Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), held its year 3 symposium at the Canada Centre for Inland Waters in Burlington, Ontario on November 13-14, 2019. The objective of the symposium was to disseminate research results from the 14 SAR NET projects, to provide an opportunity for management partners to engage with academic partners, and to explain how SAR NET results are integrated into Species at Risk management within DFO. The symposium was attended by 60 participants from four provinces (British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec) and one U.S. state (Michigan), and included 10 academic institutions, DFO Science and Species at Risk Program teams, and members of the Ontario and British Columbia provincial governments"--Abstract, page v.
