"CNVC00008 is a Pacific Coast, open, scrubby coniferous woodland association that occurs on rocky outcrops, from sea level to approximately 850 m, on thin veneers of organic, morainal, or colluvial soils overlying ridged or hummocky bedrock, within a mosaic of essentially bare rock outcrops"--Page 1.
