"The razor clam fishery is currently managed jointly between the Council of the Haida Nation (CHN) and Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) through a Razor Clam Sub agreement first signed on August 14, 1994 and renewed as part of a Comprehensive Fisheries Agreement. In 2020 there will be no commercial harvest however once commercial harvest resumes, the CHN will designate Haida participants in the commercial fishery under a Communal Licence issued to the CHN. Fisheries and Oceans Canada will continue to licence individual commercial harvesters (licensees)"--Page 3.
