Off-the-shelf unmanned aerial vehicles for 3D vegetation mapping / S.G. Leblanc.: M103-3/57-2020E-PDF

"Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or drones are now much more affordable and easier to fly than only a few years ago. Similarly to the advent of digital cameras a few years ago, off-the-shelf UAVs are now sufficiently advance that they can be used for scientific purposes. However, there are protocols to follow to get the most out of off-the-shelf UAVs and it is important to understand their limitations.
