"This report documents the general activities completed by APS Aviation Inc. related to aircraft ground deicing research in the winter of 2019-20. The activities documented in this report were carried out in addition to the main research projects completed in the winter of 2019-20, which are documented in separate reports. The seven activities described in this report are listed below: 1) Evaluation of Type I Frost Endurance Times with Standard Mix Fluid and of the 5-Minute Rule; 2) Type I Overspray Quantities – Historical Review; 3) Interpretation of METAR Reported Weather for Determining Applicable Holdover Times; 4) Temperature-Specific Snow Holdover Times; 5) Technical Review, Approval, and Publication of Historical Reports; 6) Publication of Holdover Time Guidance Materials; and 7) Presentations, Fluid Manufacturer Reports, and Test Procedures for 2019-20"--Abstract, page v (first section).
