Unfortunately, this problem has been compounded by the fact that the criminal and malicious elements have become increasingly more sophisticated and have ready access to advanced communications equipment. The MoTron TxID-1 transmitter fingerprinting system is currently the only system used by spectrum management personnel in Canada and the United States for the purpose of identifying unlawfully operated transmitters.
