"The report begins with an overview of the purpose of this strategic study and an analysis of the current ITS global environnent from the perspective of the current state-of-the-art of ITS technologies as well as the activities of various key governments and organizations throughout the world. Four subsequent chapters build a global picture of the ITS market from the standpoints of "ITS demographics", market estimates, market accessibility issues, and an analysis of the competitive environment. These discussions focus primarily on the North American, European and Japanese markets, but also attempt to address some broader geographic scope through overviews of selected emerging industrial country markets in Latin and South America, as well as in Asia and the Pacific Rim. A Canadian ITS technology supplier perspective is then developed and compared to the world marketplace.
