The program is expected to start on January 1, 2021. Program parameters such as coverage, contribution requirements, and eligibility criteria were provided to the PBO as part of the request. This report estimates the cost to the federal government of implementing a dental care program based on that request. The cost estimate incorporates the potential effects of a behavioural response, due to improved access to dental care.
