"In anticipation of development of a medium draft harbour in McKinley Bay to support future oil and gas production in the Beaufort Sea, a study to monitor the abundance and distribution of birds in McKinley Bay was initiated in 1981 (Scott-Brown et al. 1981) and continued in 1982 and 1983.
