"A computer-based system has been designed and constructed for translating pure binary data (recorded in the field on 1/4" magnetic tape) into computer—compatible binary coded decimal (BCD) data (on 1/2" 7-track magnetic tape). The system performs error checking and flags the suspect data in its translated form. Two forms of visual monitoring during translation are also provided"--Abstract.
