"This report constitutes the record of the Canadian Workshop on Acoustic Surface Waves, which was held in Ottawa, January 30-31, 1974. The Workshop was sponsored by the Department of National Defence and the Department of Communications and jointly organized by McGill University and the Communications Research Centre. The invited tutorial presentations, which ranged in subject matter from materials and basic physics to systems applications in communications and radar, are summarized. It is concluded that there exists in Canada sufficient interest, needs, and capabilities to support a moderate level of acoustic surface wave research, development and manufacturing activity"--Abstract, page 1.
