Whitfield and McNaughton (1984) examined the occurrence of dissolved oxygen (DO) depressions under winter ice and investigated the processes involved. To meet objectives of that study, water samples were collected each month from August 1982 to May 1983 at stations located on the Takhini and Nordenskiold Rivers.
