Source apportionment of volatile organic compounds and aerosols on Sable Island : 2017 final report / submitted by Dr. Mark Gibson P.Chem P.Eng and Dr. Susanne Craig.: NE22-4/212E-PDF
"This ESRF funded project aims to examine the different sources of air pollution/atmospheric chemistry affecting the air quality on Sable Island, a remote marine site, with the aim of better understanding the impacts of emissions from nearby offshore O&G activities, on island anthropogenic emissions (e.g. trash burning, diesel generator emissions, aircraft emissions and supply vessel emissions) directly from the ocean (e.g. sea salt spray, volatile organic compounds from phytoplankton and other marine organisms) and from continental outflow of anthropic (e.g. primarily fossil fuel combustion related emissions), and biogenic emissions (e.g. wildfire smoke and vegetative volatile organic compound emissions)"--Executive summary, page xiii.
