With an increased emphasis on digital signal processing, radar systems have requirements for DFTs with ever increasing data rates. The Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm permits efficient computation of the DFT. In this work, both the fundamentals of FFT algorithms and their implementation are discussed, with emphasis on hardware design.
