"A number of field tests have been performed by several countries in order to evaluate the performance of different digital terrestrial television transmission systems, and to compare them with existing analog systems. In this report, some of these comparative tests are reviewed and analyzed, interesting findings and limitations of the tests are emphasized. The relevance of the results and the conclusions are also evaluated within the North American context"--Abstract, page ii.
