"Rocky Mountain Ridged Mussel (Gonidea angulata) is one of only a few freshwater mussel species in British Columbia, restricted in Canada to the Okanagan Basin. In 2005 this species was listed under the Species at Risk Act (SARA) as Special Concern, and in 2010 it was reassessed by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC) as Endangered. Between 2011 and 2020, Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) conducted surveys of G. angulata at index sites in the Okanagan Basin. In addition, exploratory surveys were conducted in 2018 and 2020 to gain insight into the distribution of the species in Okanagan Lake"--Abstract.
