"The purpose of the study is to ascertain whether it is practical for small and medium-sized feed mills to use computers for least cost formulation of the animal feeds they produce. The study presupposes some sort of sharing arrangement for the computing facilities. In addition, the study shows the advantages which can be expected from the application of computers, and the conditions required to make their application a success. Five feed companies participated in the survey upon which this study is based. These companies operate mills located in southern Ontario"--Introduction.
