"The purpose of this paper will ... be to basically provide a comparison of the Vancouver region comprising the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD) and the Seattle region comprising King County, note their Ports, Airports and other transportation networks and review deficiencies, if any, as far as Vancouver is concerned and the importance of the region as a whole in the development of Pacific Rim trade and commerce. Where applicable, the importance of Tacoma, particularly as a port in the region, will be highlighted"--page 1.
