Consumer sourcebook for the disabled = Sources d'informations du consommateur handicapé.RG23-69/1982-PDF

"Consumer Sourcebook for the Disabled is intended to meet the needs of disabled consumers who wish to be able to locate up-to-date, comprehensive and reliable reading material on food, clothing, shelter, aids to mobility and services that facilitate work and leisure. There are more than 600 articles, books, and audio-tapes listed, covering most aspects of daily living except aids of a medical nature or those used in the medical treatment of disability. The emphasis is on information that will enhance the normal functioning of persons with a disability and encourage them to use standard consumer products and services. To increase the usefulness of this guidebook, we have added short descriptions to some of the reference items. We have tried to emphasize Canadian material, but useful American and British material has been included as well. Some references to local products and services have been included in order to focus consumer attention on possibilities and opportunities available"--Foreword, page i.
