"This document aims to provide guidance on the implementation of the On-Road Vehicle and Engine Emission Regulations (the Regulations) made under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA 1999). Specifically, it presents what evidence of conformity to the Regulations is required and what procedures should be followed when producing evidence of conformity for light-duty vehicles, light-duty trucks and medium-duty passenger vehicles (paragraphs 6(1)(a), (b) and (c) of the Regulations) manufactured for sale in Canada or imported into Canada"--Purpose, page 3.
