"A new Interdepartmental Memorandum of Understanding (IMOU-5170) between Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC), and Transport Canada Innovation Centre (TCIC) from 2020 to 2025 is presented in this Open File. IMOU-5170 combines on-going research and development of landslide monitoring technologies along strategically important sections of the national railway network in the Thompson River valley, British Columbia, and the Assiniboine River valley along the borders of Manitoba and Saskatchewan. This work is ultimately applicable to other sites in Canada, and elsewhere around the world where vital railway (or other socioeconomic) infrastructure and operations are potentially at risk from landslides"--Abstract, page 1.
