"In interdepartmental LRTAP studies in Eastern Canada, non-compatibility of Aluminum data generated by WQB Atlantic region and another agency was discovered. This problem raised concerns and was communicated to us by the WQB lab. We designed and carried out this interlaboratory study in order to shed some light to the question of whether or not the Aluminum data determined by atomic emission and absorption techniques are compatible. Since the data by WQB Atlantic region were shown to be satisfactory, it follows that the data from the other agency was erroneous"--Executive Summary.
