Raven Island National Wildlife Area management plan 2021.: CW66-768/2021E-PDF
"Raven Island National Wildlife Area (NWA) is located approximately 140km northeast of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The NWA is an island situated in the middle of the south bay of Lenore Lake. The land for the NWA was purchased by the Federal government in February 1982, and the NWA was established to complement the Lenore Lake Migratory Bird Sanctuary (MBS). While MBSs are established across the country to protect migratory birds during critical periods of their migration, NWAs are established for the purposes of conservation of habitat, research and interpetation"--Description of the protected area, page 1.
