Expedition report for the summer and fall 2017 ecosystem surveys aboard the M/V Nuliajuk in support of the shrimp fishery in Davis Strait/Labrador Sea / Pascal Tremblay, Christine Michel, Wojciech Walkusz,...: Fs97-4/3221E-PDF
"Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) conducts multi-species trawling surveys in the Davis Strait region of the Eastern Canadian Arctic, primarily to support the management of commercially fished species, such as Greenland Halibut (Reinhardtius hippoglossoides) and Northern and Striped shrimp (Pandalus borealis and P. montagui, respectively). DFO has managed these fisheries with limited environmental or ecosystem data available to support stock assessments, but is currently striving to adopt an ecosystem approach to fisheries management and include environmental and ecosystem data in its assessments"--Abstract.
