Proposal to allow labelling of human pathogens on products regulated under the Pest Control Products Act.: H113-23/2021-2E-PDF

"The purpose of this notice is to inform the Canadian public and stakeholders of Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) intention to allow the labelling of human pathogens on products regulated under the Pest Control Products Act. Labelling of human pathogens, by their scientific name, will be permitted on pest control product labels, if there is sufficient scientific evidence demonstrating the efficacy of the product against these microorganisms. This approach would align with current labelling practices for certain products (for example, hard surface disinfectants) regulated under the Food and Drugs Act"--Purpose, page 1.
