"At the request of WQ headquarters, the interregional quality control program (IRQC) was initiated to assess comparability of analysis data generated by the five regional laboratories. Six studies were distributed bi-monthly between March 1984 and August 1984. The studies dealt with the analysis of trace (heavy) metals, major ions, nutrients and physical parameters in spiked water samples"--Executive summary.
