"Sediment samples were collected at 17 stations at a proposed dredging site in Little Current, Ontario. High concentrations of Ni, Zn and Pb (up to 927,384 and 198 ug g-1 dry weight, respectively) were found in sediment at some of the sampling stations. A sequential extraction procedure showed that more than 95% of Pb, Ni and Zn were held in the crystal structure of primary or secondary minerals"--Abstract.
