"Under the direction of Mr. John Rice of Bailey Metal Products, a redesigned steel/stud brick veneer wall system has been developed with the assistance of Mr. T. Tristain, P.Eng. and representatives of Fiberglas Canada. Following discussion with Prof. R.G. Drysdale, P.Eng. of McMaster University, CMHC funding under the HTIP Program was sought to assist with the development of this wall system. Since several concepts and details employed in the wall system are unique, testing of various components was undertaken at McMaster University to establish engineering data in terms of both structural behaviour and environmental performance"--Introduction.
