"In 2018, 15.8% of Canadians aged 12 and older (roughly 4.9 million people) smoked cigarettes either daily or occasionally. Among both sexes, the number of current smokers has declined between 2015 and 2018 (from 20.4% to 18.6% for males and from 15.0% to 13.0% for females, Chart 1)"--Page 3.
