"This report reviews the background concepts, the state of knowledge, methodological rationale, and meaningful indicators of the extent to which community involvement can contribute to the social, emotional, mental and physical well-being of Canadians. Hence, in assessing the quality of life in social housing complexes, it is desirable to ascertain the extent to which residents participate in community life. Moreover, it is also desirable to consider ways in which social housing policy and programs might foster the further development of community life"--Executive summary.
