Preparing for climate change : Canada's national adaptation strategy : discussion paper.: En4-469/2022E-PDF

"People living in Canada are already witnessing and experiencing devastating impacts of climate change. Canada's climate is warming two times faster than the global average, and three times faster in the North. Across the country, the impacts of climate change are already affecting our communities, economy and environment. The National Adaptation Strategy is an opportunity to establish a clear framework for action to achieve climate resilience. This discussion paper allows us to hear from you and people across Canada about what you think should be the priority actions over the next five years to prepare for climate change. This will inform the outcome of the National Adaptation Strategy which will be released by the end of the year. The proposed principles and objectives in this discussion paper represent the result of conversations to date with experts, government officials, and Indigenous representatives"--Overview, page 1.
